Dao Venue Rental
Dao House, which sits on over 81 acres of land backing up to the Rocky Mountain National Park, hosts one of the largest freestanding log structures in the United States. We invite you to get away from it all in our mountain retreat with 360-degree views of nature with the best view of Longs Peak. We are 7.5 miles south of Estes Park on Scenic Highway 7, and a 90-minute drive from Denver. Our mission is to provide a space that is both productive and revitalizing to make the most out of your retreat, conference, wedding, seminar or group event. With a unique array of offerings from the traditional conference services to ancient wellness practices and therapeutic methods, we invite you to customize an experience to best benefit your group.
Retreats
We host a variety of retreats, and hold space specifically designed for your attendees needs. Allow your participants to walk away with the purpose and intention you are providing here at Dao House. Our 2,500 sq. ft. Longs Peak Room is perfect for movement, yoga or sound healing, and with its private balcony it allows participants a moment to step away and enjoy the scenery outside. For retreats during the wintertime, enjoy our fireplace in this room to make your space cozy and warm. For the more intimate retreats, there are smaller rooms available that can be setup according to your group’s needs. With the indoor space rental, you'll have access to our outdoor locations as well from our Mountain Canopy site to our Rustic Pines and Aspen Meadow.
Make your retreat even more rejuvenating with one or more of our wellness services. Participants can enjoy an herbal foot steam, biomat session, specialty massage or infrared sauna session. We have group tai chi, qi gong, Dao yin or meditation classes, or Yi Jing (I Ching) readings with one of our Certified Wu Dang Instructors. You can also set the tone for your retreat with a ceremonial bon fire. Let Dao Staff get the fire going, and you create the energy for your retreat from beginning to end. Conferences
Obtain amazing productivity and results with your conference at Dao House. We can host over 90 conference attendees comfortably in our Longs Peak Room and have all the AV equipment you could need. Customize your meeting with a specific table and chair setup and podium; add content with a flip chart or white board, or projector setup. We just ask that you bring your own computer and content. There are smaller spaces breakout rooms, and options both indoor and outdoor opportunities and amenities to break up the typical mundane meeting. Add an intentional movement class of qi gong in the morning, a Dao Yin stretching class during a mid-day break or an evening mindful meditation.
Make it a team event with rock climbing, fly-fishing, guided hiking or white-water rafting. We have several outfits in town we work with to provide you with the best conference that will make your group look forward to next year! There are an array of services we offer onsite as well, including use of our property trails that extend over 81 acres of forest land, guided nature hikes and our resident Elkhorn Stables for your mountain horseback adventure.

Rustic Destination Weddings
In beautiful Estes Park, Colorado, have the Rockies as your backdrop and our lodge as your stage; your wedding day and memories will be magnificent. Nestled between Long’s Peak and Twin Sisters, Dao House is a rustic boutique hotel with Colorado charm and breathtaking views. Your guests will enjoy a relaxing mountain-top getaway and alpine adventure that’s just a quick drive from downtown Estes Park for shopping, dining, and more. Dao House is conveniently located (90-minutes) to Denver International Airport for your out-of-town guest’s convenience.
We offer weddings from 2 to 125 attendees. To prepare for the big day, our couple can take advantage of the dressing areas that are available. For an outdoor wedding we have the breathtaking Aspen Meadow with natural wood seating and Aspen trees reaching for the sky. For those wishing a less elemental ceremony we have alternate indoor/outdoor sites. Reserve a block of rooms for your guests and encourage them to stay an extra day or two – our group discount is honored their entire length of stay.
We have made our venue available for all stages of the wedding, including bridal showers, renewal of vows, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions, and wedding brunches. Lodging Accommodations:
The property features a rustic lodge and cabins surrounded by magnificent mountains and native wildlife. Guests will relish in the natural beauty only the Colorado Rockies can offer. Our lodge features 6 King guest rooms (2 are handicap accessible), 28 Double Queen guest rooms, 5 rooms in our “Houstel” and a cozy group cabin "Androushan" which features a gas fireplace in the living room with a kitchen table, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. With a total bed count in our lodge, "houstel" and Androushan cabin of over 70; a total of 33 sleeping rooms in the lodge and 5 "Houstel" rooms, we have the flexibility for an intimate or extravagant buyout of the property.
Caterings Options:
All retreats, weddings and conferences have the option for Dao House catering services, where we consciously incorporate healthy, organic and sustainably farmed food into our menus. All meals may be served buffet style, family style or plated. Our culinary team strives to provide tailored menus that please the palate of our guests and couples. We specialize in vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, as well as specialty diets including keto. If you have a chef or outside caterer you prefer, there are options for renting our satellite kitchen space.
