Current Status & Policies
Dear Dao House Friends, Guests and Retreat Leaders –
Facility Wellness Measures
The below measure is implemented by all persons of Dao House, guests and staff alike to assist in preventing the spread of communicable disease and illness. Please ensure that you do your part in keeping your immune systems strong and healthy. Preventative maintenance is the best course to a healthy, long life!
We ask all of our guests to be considerate with the new implementations in Larimer County. We are located at 9,200 feet above sea level, where the altitude affects us all differently. Our health is our first and number one priority, and so is your ability to get ample oxygen. We respect the right of all guests to be considerate to each other and the choices they make for their health.
Personal Space | Our personal space bubbles have increased drastically in the past few years. Please respect the space of those around you by maintaining six feet distance when possible. Our indoor settings are the perfect atmosphere with large, well-ventilated areas to provide you with the comfort you require for your distance. While indoors in our common areas you can relax knowing that the air is purified with filters that kill all germs and viruses. Even better yet, step outside and enjoy Mother Nature with a hike. The vitamin-D and fresh air will do your body good.
Cleanliness & Healthy Hygiene Practices | Being in the hospitality and service industry we know best how to practice cleanliness. All accommodations are cleaned and disinfected in between stays. Frequently touched surfaces are on a routine cleaning and disinfecting schedule. Serve-safe policies are implemented in food-preparation facilities. All Dao Staff washes their hands thoroughly and frequently as outlined in literature and signs posted in public areas. Facial protection is encouraged, as its most essential when your personal space is difficult to be kept.
Staff Etiquette & Healthy Operations | Flexible sick leave has been implemented and related flexible policies and practices for Dao Staff, including the ability to work remotely when staff has been exposed to or around persons who are sick or have been exposed. Additionally, staff has been cross trained as back-up personnel to give the necessary time for staff to recover according to designated criteria.
What Can You Do? | Cover your mouth with a tissue when you sneeze or cough or use the inside of your elbow. Throw away used tissues, and wash your hands frequently; upon entering the facility, before meals, after sneezing or coughing.
Unforeseen Circumstances | We are located at 9,200 feet above sea level, where altitude sickness can occur. As stated through the Larimer County Website, it is imperative that coverings should not be placed on anyone who is having trouble breathing or inhibits the individual’s health. In these cases, nose breathing is recommended to increase oxygen to your brain, and don’t forget to stay hydrated!
Our property covers over 81 acres of natures' playground - there is room to roam on our mountain without having to worry about crowds. We think it is time to get out into nature - the best therapy and wellbeing for this time.
We have a hotline open from 11 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 970-586-4094 to answer questions on reservations.
